I inherited a great love of animals from my father. I purchased my first Bulldog in 1969, and although she was not a showgirl, she set the ‘hook’ that started me on this wonderful journey with Bulldogs. On a search for a show girl in 1977, we purchased a puppy from John & Randy Jackson, who at that time owned the Sourmug Kennel in California. That girl, Buttershine Baby, became our first show champion and the foundation for all of our LittlePond Kennel breeding which includes 103 bred by champions to date. Some of the most notable being multiple best in specialty show winners and Bulldog Club of America Hall of Fame reproducers; Ch LittlePond’s Splash, Ch LittlePond’s Chief, Ch LittlePond’s Leroy, Ch Helfyre LittlePond’s Promise - the top best in specialty winning Bulldog of all time, and Ch Helfrye Warmvalley Sixspence, a Bulldog Club of America National Specialty Best Opposite Sex winner. We also owned and exhibited Ch LittlePond’s Osage Ollie who was the 1997 BCA National Specialty Show winner.
My husband Dan and I are thankful for the Bulldogs who have shared their love and lives with us, and also the many good times and friendships made along the way through the breeding , judging and exhibiting of Bulldogs.
